Michelle McCarron is an Irish born artist working in photography, video and the written word. Her work primarily examines human relationships both modern and ancient with the natural world and other non human species. Themes primarily deal with species and ecosystem conservation, ancient practices of living and perceiving the earth to the future of the planet in a globalized world, painting a poignant picture of the delicate balance that sustains everything. More abstract works challenge our perceptions turning them into tangibles and seeing the world anew adding to a visual symphony that bridges artistic expression and documentary practice.
